The practical side of forgiveness and its implications

I see forgiveness as releasing the object of our hurt, anger, and feelings of hatred, thereby freeing ourselves. Forgiving does not mean that we allow ourselves to continue to suffer hurt; rather, we allow ourselves to embrace healing, release and freedom. Release yourself, undo the dysfunctional ties that bind by forgiving somebody today.

I want to forgive

At 2 years old, my father killed my mother.  Even though I was only 2 years old, no one in either my mother’s or father’s family would take me in.  I was placed in foster care for 9 years.
